CoRai is a fusion pf opposites, in this case; Japanese and western, classic and modern, all performed on stage by Hiroshi Yamaguchi and Kentaro Kihara.
Yamaguchi is a Shamisen player who started his career as a stage Tsugaru Shamisen performer at the age of four. Yamaguchi is also known for his accompaniment of Kabuki performances. Kihara is a jazz pianist who graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston where he was awarded the “Best Jazz Performer Award”. Kihara is actively involved in various fields of music, such as pop, Japanses folk music, choral music and movie soundtracks.
