Legaga is an en exploration of memory, dreams and nightmares told through movement, song and text.

Directed by Shanell Winlock Pailman, dramaturgey by Billy Langa, choreographed and performed by Teresa Phuti Mojela, costume and set design by Merry K, lighting design by Josias Mashiane, music by Ntsika Ngxanga and Liso Somila Toyi with voice overs by Nazia Mojela, Boikanyo Lekarapa and Tumelo Mhlongo.

Inspired by Mojela’s personal journey as performer and woman, Legaga takes the audience through a journey from childhood to adulthood, a rite of passage and its complexities, difficulties, rejections and tragedies. Legaga was first premiered at My Body My Space Rural Festival in Mpumalanga, then performed at Makhukhanye Art Room in Khayelitsha at Abongile Kroza One Handers Festival in 2017.
