Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s beloved tale of a pilot and a young alien prince gets told through the use of theatre.
Since it was first published in 1943, the story has since been translated into more than 250 languages. The 60-minute long mini-musical features original music by Wessel Odendaal, under the pen and directorship of Elizma Badenhorst. Exupery illustrated his novel himself and decided to omit any sketches of what the Pilot may have looked like. Badenhorst took her cue from the author to feature the first female pilot to portray the iconic role.
