Founded in 1962, Adler museum preserves the history of health sciences in Southern Africa, with special reference to Gauteng. The Museum has displays depicting the history of medicine, dentistry and pharmacy. There are also reconstructions of an African herbal shop, a doctor’s consulting room, a 20th century Johannesburg pharmacy and more.
