Born and raised in Cape Town, Jimmy Nevis is an alternative pop singer/songwriter and producer. Brought up in a musical home, he struggled to start his music career after matric. He decided to pursue his dreams without the help of a music qualification and wrote his first hit single, “Elephant Shoes” in 2012. Taking his single to as many radio stations as he could, it was not long until the country recognised his talent.
Nevis soon signed with the independent record label Rude World Records, with a publishing, licensing and distribution deal with David Gresham Records. He released his debut album entitled Subliminal in November 2012. The same year, he produced his next hit single “Heartboxing” with electronic record label Ultra Records in America.
Nevis has performed and collaborated with Mega South African Deep House group, Mi Casa with their hit “Feel the Love” and Electronic DJ duo Pascal & Pearce on the song “Jericho”.

The 1st November 2014 saw the much anticipated release of his current album, The Masses. with hit singles such as “Misscato” and “Day Dream (Last Night)”.
