Near Mandela Boulevard, Stevenson is a minimalist contemporary gallery with an international bent. Its links with contemporary art fairs around the world and helps gain South African artists an international audience, as well as bring big names to the city from abroad. Thomas Hirschhorn, Glenn Ligon and Walid Raad have all shown at the gallery, as well as the influential South African artist and poet Peter Clarke.
Stevenson Gallery also saw host to Art Week Joburg in 2014.
