sci-bono-discovery-centreThe Sci-Bono Discovery Centre is a world-class science centre that supports maths, science and technology education with innovative, dynamic learning experiences that contribute to building South Africa’s science, engineering and technology capacity.

With events, school programmes, live experimentation and high tech displays, it aims to create an interactive learning experience to develop an interest and understanding of how science translates into our daily lives.

The 4IR [Fourth Industrial Revolution] exhibition is a wonderland of futuristic technology for youngsters and adults and is the flagship exhibition at Sci-Bono. Visitors are invited to meet RoboDog, a robotic canine and four other humanoid robots, Pepper and the two Sanbot Maxes, are important and much-beloved members of the Sci-Bono family. The robotic family of four delight and enthral visitors, dance a little dance of joy, answer questions and open doors of understanding about the future of Fourth Industrial Revolution technology.

Sci-Bono houses over 350 science and technology exhibits and offers an annual programme of workshops, science shows and expos to schools and the public.
