The Tina Skukan Gallery is situated on one of the last remaining smallholdings in the suburb of Faerie Glen, Pretoria, which originated out of the former Valley Farm smallholdings. This landmark forms part of the Bronberg Nature Reserve. The owner, Thea Nigrini, adapted the old barn thirteen years ago to house a gallery for contemporary art and craftwork.
This art and nature lover’s paradise hosts monthly exhibitions by established and professional artists. Cultural activities such as artist talks, artist demonstrations, walkabouts and performances are presented during exhibitions of leading South African contemporary artists. Adjacent to the gallery are permanent exhibition areas including a scuptural garden which can also be visited. Works on display include mixed media, acrylics, printmedia, drawings, scraperboard, sculptures, oils, watercolours, enamels and pastels.
