Herman Miller, which specialises in furniture and contemporary interior furnishings, has collaborated with Danish design brand HAY to create the newly-launched Herman Miller x HAY Collection.
The collaboration is a 21st-century reinterpretation of eight mid-century classics originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames, giants of the design world in the middle of the 20th century. Created by Rolf and Mette Hay, the new line honours the best of the original while embracing the modern with the addition of new colour palettes and updated materials. The collection includes tables, chairs and a Hang-It-All.
Rolf and Mette Hay have always been inspired by Eamesian designs in their own work and consulted the Herman Miller archives for references as this range was created. The Molded Plastic Shell Chairs included in this line contain 100% post-industrial recycled plastic.
