The UCT Strings Competition aims to give UCT students the best possible practical and professional experience towards their future careers.
The competition provides a nurturing atmosphere for young talent and strives to be recognized as a competition that promotes excellence in string instrument performance. The UCT Strings Competition will bring together communities to witness wonderful performances by highly talented artists with a bright future ahead of them.
Competitors for 2023 include: Rebekah Beelders and Nicholas Bruiners (violin), Micaela Arries (viola), Ashlin Grobbelaar, Seul Pearl Jung, Chris Njapha and Zoe Torres (cello), and Kyle Smith (double bass).
