The Cape Town Independent Film Club brings together aspiring filmmakers, actors, screenwriters, production designers, and more, who share a passion for creating short films.
Various events are organised each month to facilitate learning and creativity. These include table reads where scenes are acted out, film discussions and group viewings at cinemas. Additional activities such as script writing and editing sessions, rehearsals, filming, and post-production are to be introduced.
Directed by Marius Adams, known for his work with the Cape Town Writers Network, the group aims to provide a supportive environment for experimentation and growth in filmmaking.
Filmmaking is recognized as a collaborative art, with every member playing a vital role. As the group grows, so will the opportunities for each member to contribute and shine.
