FAME Week Africa provides African creatives with a platform to bring their ingrained talent, their stories, and their culture to the forefront by bringing together co-related events focusing on the major creative economies, namely film, television, animation, music, and entertainment technology.
FAME Week is the essential destination for African and global creative professionals and features content sessions, music showcases, film screenings, exhibitions and a variety of networking opportunities. Also featured are conferences and festivals that celebrate the convergence of the tech, film, television, animation, and music industries.
Attendees can expect shows from MIP Africa, Cape Town International Animation Festival (CTIAF) and Muziki Afrika. The content sessions curated for these shows are tailor-made for aspiring filmmakers, music enthusiasts, and creative entrepreneurs and feature exciting speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and networking events.
There is also a Short Film Festival held at the Labia Theatre, where attendees can discover the best of independent African cinema, and FAME After Dark, a series of music and dance events designed to celebrate diversity and shatter stereotypes within the entertainment industry.
