The Fazioli Series presents British pianist Alexander Ullman in the first of three concerts showcasing the versatility of special limited-edition hand-made Fazioli pianos.
Praised for his subtle interpretations and refined technical mastery, Alexander has impressed audiences and critics worldwide with his deep understanding of the scores he interprets, his elegant touch and crystalline phrasing. Winner of the 2017 Liszt Competition in Utrecht he has performed as a soloist across Europe and is also highly sought after as a chamber musician.
His programme chosen especially for the Fazioli Series features the 'Peer Gynt Suite Nr 1Op. 46', Grieg's 'Piano Transcriptions of Songs Op. 41' and finishes with Chopin's 'Etudes Op. 25'. The concert is around 1 hour long with seating in-between and above the pianos.
Afterwards guests are invited behind the scenes to the workshop for a complimentary glass of Creative Block wine, kindly sponsored by Spier Wine Farm, where they can explore inside the world of the piano and its music, with the artists and technicians.
Proceeds from these concerts go towards the Kramer Concert Series Trust in support of the future of the Cape Town Concert Series.
