Film Night on Ocean Conservation

The 7th International Marine Conservation Congress presents a night of films on the ocean from indigenous, local and international experts.

Hosted by the Society for Conservation Biology's Global Marine Program, the evening is filled with inspiring documentaries and films that shed light on the beauty of our oceans and the importance of protecting them. Get ready to be amazed by stunning underwater footage and learn about the incredible efforts being made to preserve marine life.

The film lineup includes titles such as 'Rise From the Cape Flats', showcasing a transformative ocean journey; 'SEE US', exploring shark and ray sanctuaries; 'Ours Not Mine', revealing the impacts of mining on marine ecosystems; 'Wealth Untold', focusing on women's leadership in protecting the Belize Barrier Reef; 'Hofagie Laamle', emphasizing community resilience; and 'Older Than Trees', discussing scientific contributions to marine conservation.

This in-person event is perfect for ocean lovers of all ages. Proceeds from the event go towards supporting local conservation efforts.
