The UCT Irma Stern Museum (ISM) invites art and history enthusiasts to bring their own creativity to the ISM for a relaxed, non-judgemental and experimental collaging art class.
The museum is a place for creativity: the creativity of Irma Stern, of the artists and crafters represented through the pieces Stern collected, the creativity of invited artists, students, learners, and even the creativity of nature in the beautiful Secret Garden.
Attendees are encouraged to draw from the creative legacy of one of South Africa's most achieved artists to collage their narrative and create their own masterpiece. The emphasis of the class is on exploring creativity, rather than learning art-making skills and all materials are provided.
