The trails for mountain biking are situated on private working wine farms. Only annual or day permit holders are allowed access to the trails and bike boards must be displayed on handlebars at all times. You can ride from sunrise to sunset. Annual permits are available online via the link.
As for the signature The Jordan Restaurant, it will now trade under the name The Jordan Restaurant with Marthinus Ferreira. Marthinus Ferreira has helped shape the South African food scene, with his flair for food gastronomy inspired by his childhood favourites and influences from abroad, having worked with some of the world’s top chefs, including Chef Gordon Ramsay & Chef Heston Blumenthal.
The Bakery at Jordan has been reconceptualised as The Cellar Door. Combining Jordan’s award-winning wines at cellar door prices with fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced by chef Thys Esterhuysen.
The private picnic pods, on the lawn of Jordan Wine Estate, have breathtaking views of the Stellenbosch Kloof Valley and Stellenbosch Mountains and can accommodate 2-8 adults. Picnic basket contents include a selection of wines, beers, soft drinks, mocktails, and hot beverages that can be purchased at The Cellar Door on the day when baskets are collected.
The estate also offers accommodation in the beautifully appointed suites with contemporary finishes and furnishings, set on a tranquil working farm, surrounded by vineyards and mountains.
All suites are equipped with Chromecast on all Smart LED TV’s, air conditioning, Nespresso coffee machine with a selection of pods, tea-making facilities, mini-bar fridge that can be pre-stocked on request, spring water, and a complimentary bottle of Jordan wine best enjoyed on the covered terrace.
