Kitty and Puppy Haven is a non-profit shelter with the mission of rescuing animals that have been neglected, abused, or abandoned. Most of the pets taken in come from veterinary practices, low-income areas, other welfare organisations, or emergency rescues. The shelter typically facilitates between 700 to 1000 adoptions annually and receives around 30 visitors weekly.
The purpose of the upcoming fundraising event is to help raise funds for the animal haven, as donations and adoption rates have reduced while the intake of animals has increased. It is an ideal event for the whole family to attend and support a worthy cause.
This is an egg-stra special opportunity for the shelter's supporters to meet the team and help raise funds. There are raffle tickets on sale, the fully stocked pet shop is open, and supporters can spoil the resident dogs and cats.
There is also a drawing and colouring competition leading up to the event which is open to all levels of skills. Entries will be on display around the sanctuary - keep an eye out on the Facebook page for more information on this specifically.
The entrance fee is 6 tins (cat or dog food) or 12 tins for families of 4-6.
