The Soweto Night Tour hosted by MoAfrika Tours is a chance to spend a night out in the most famous city in the country. Led by tour guides who are born and bred in Soweto, guests enjoy dinner and drinks in Soweto and drive by the many sites that have informed the township’s past and present.
The tour takes participants to four distinct nightclubs and spots in Soweto, each with its own individual ambience and crowd. At each bar the first drink is covered and guests have a chance to explore both traditional shebeens and contemporary bars.
The tour begins at the historical Vilakazi Street and then ventures to other landmarks such as the FNB Soccer Stadium, the Soweto Towers, and the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, before kicking off the evening festivities at the four nightclubs. At the end of the tour, guests are driven back safely to their accommodation.
The tour includes pickups and dropoffs in Johannesburg. All transfers, a traditional meal at a shebeen, four free drinks and onboard uncapped WiFi are all included in the price. Personal purchases and other foods and drinks are excluded. A minimum of two people is required for the tour and cost-effective group tour offers are available.
