Romero and Mamriev's program includes Mozart, Schubert and Brahms and Romero's program includes Mozart, Schumann, Sibelius and Rachmaninoff.
The Johannesburg International Mozart Festival (JIMF) has been such an incredible success over the years satisfying those with a penchant for classical music and culture.
The audience is in for a treat and a week of fantastic concerts and cultural events, with a vibrant "Papageno / Papagena" theme is in store.
This festival style is a welcome change from the more formal style that the classics usually enjoy. And, it is held when the regular subscription series of the local classical music scene winds up for a summer break.
It combines world-class classical performances with an innovative and creative approach to programming and outreach projects for children, students and other audiences.
This unites music-lovers of all ages, languages and cultures in a dynamic celebration. The connection to Mozart stems from this great musician’s ability to emerge from a tyrannical parent’s influence to becoming one of the greatest composers that the world has ever known.
