Indulge in local food from 20 different African countries. The countries represented at this inaugural festival are Angola, Mozambique, Benin, Cameroon, DRC, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Kenya, Ethiopia, Egypt, Rwanda, Malawi, Seychelles, Zambia, Mauritius and Cape Verde.
As it is the first African Food Festival, the festival kicks off with a grand opening showcasing African dance, poetry and music. The variety of South African dance is celebrated with Gumboot, Pantsula and Sbujwa as well as Setswana, Zulu, Tsonga and Pedi dances and much more.
African musicians such as Casper Nyovest, Mafikizolo and Tronomy (Nigeria) also perform.
This African inspired event promises to take guests on a trip around the continent, without having to buy flight tickets or visas.
