Community art counsellor, Kamal Naran, is facilitating an art counselling group for LGBTQ+ individuals who are curious to explore the various facets of their queer identity.
In the group, participants will use art-making and group discussion to engage with discovering, uncovering, exploring and being with all the colours that make up queer identity.
The group starts on the 18th and run for eight weeks, every Saturday morning for one and a half hours.
Lefika La Phodiso (‘The Rock of Holding’) is Africa’s first psychoanalytically informed Community Art Counselling training centre. Kamal Naran is an artist, community art counsellor and mindful art facilitator. He is currently the education curator at the Wits Art Museum.
