The Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra brings you the World Symphony Series 2019 Summer Season, hosted at the Linder Auditorium. Their last concert set of the season features renowned conductor Daniel Boico with soloist Olga Kern.
A finalist and prize winner at the Prokofiev, Pedrotti, and Cadaques International Conducting Competitions, Daniel Boico’s musical sensitivity, keen ear and fervent musicianship have produced exciting performances with orchestras around the world.
The concert’s soloist, talented pianist Olga Kern, is recognized as one of her generation’s great artists. Her stage presence and talented technique continues to captivate fans and critics alike.
The programme includes Felix Mendelssohn’s The Hebrides (Fingal’s Cave), Edvard Grieg’s Concerto for Piano in a minor and Jean Sibelius’ Symphony No.2 in D major.
