The May Pantry Market focuses on fermentation and gut health, and their importance in overall health.
At this month’s free Pantry Talk, Ché Upton of Che Gourmet shares why gut health is so important, and how we can improve it by consuming fermented foods and drinks such as Kimchi, Kraut and Kombucha. Join Ché for a free talk followed by a Q&A at 10.30am in the Mesh Cinema.
To complement Che’s talk there will be an array of fermented goods on sale at the market. Don’t miss the Drinking Vinegars from Sweet Tea and Chickadee. Owner Natasha Robson has just returned from living in the USA and has brought the latest craze in fermented drinks along with her. Caz Kombucha is selling their three delicious flavours of Kombucha, while Ché Gourmet’s range of Kimchi and Kraut is available for tastings and sales.
Market-goers also have the chance to win the iconic Componibili storage unit manufactured by Kartell and designed by Anna Castelli Ferrieri in 1969.
The Pantry Market at Keyes is, where possible, a plastic-free zone, and visitors can bring their own baskets to fill with everything and anything needed for a wholesome, healthy home pantry.
The Pantry Market takes place on the last Saturday of every month
