Started in Cape Town in 2015, Museum Night is finally making its way to the city of gold.
Museum Night is a multi-institution after hours cultural experience. For one night, the public is invited to explore Jozi’s museums and cultural institutions after-hours and free of charge.
Each museum has a primary programme of current exhibitions, supported by a secondary programme of workshops, performances, talks and other activities. As the museum programme is spread out, attendees are encouraged to focus on one or two sites, and make use of public or private transport to get around.
Participating institutions include Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre, Wits Art Museum, Constitution Hill, Origins Centre, Johannesburg Art Gallery, and the Apartheid Museum.
Time: 5pm to 10pm
