Comedy Central and Real Comedy present Stars from The Apollo, a line-up of A-category comedians who have all performed at the Apollo Theatre in London.
The line-up features Amos Gill, Mike Wilmot, Neil Delamere and Simon Evans. South African radio personality Darren “Whackhead” Simpson is the host and MC of the series.

He is a staple headliner at all the top comedy venues and festivals in Australia and the USA, and has recently been invited to join Jim Jefferies on his Australian and South African arena tour, as well as at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden to a sell-out crowd.
Mike Wimot is an established comedian both in his home country Canada and in the UK. Having won the coveted Barry Award at the 2003 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, his TV work includes: Live At The Apollo (BBC One), Rich Hall’s Fishing Show (BBC Four), Rich Hall’s Cattle Drive (BBC Four), several appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC Two), the host of Comedy Blue on Paramount, team captain on Shoot the Messenger (Paramount Comedy Channel) and Paul Kaye’s manager in the award-winning film It’s All Gone Pete Tong.
Neil Delamere is one of the most in demand comedians on Irish television and is best known to UK audiences for his appearance on the first series of Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow on BBC One. Having appeared on The World Stands Up, Live At The Comedy Store, and BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, his regular TV appearances in his homeland of Ireland include RTE’s The Panel and BBC’s The Blame Game.
Simon Evans is a regular on TV and radio. His TV credits include two appearances on BBC One’s Live at the Apollo, one on Michael McIntyre’s Roadshow, and a season of Channel 4’s Stand Up for the Week. BBC Radio 4’s, Simon Evans Goes to Market, is on it’s fifth season as of April 2019.
