TEDxJohannesburg | Bold & BrilliantWith Bold & Brilliant, TEDxJohannesburgWomen 2019 places a spotlight on ideas from some of Johannesburg’s (and South Africa’s) risk-takers and innovators.

Two speaker sessions fill the day, which includes a productive, working lunch and ends with cocktails and networking. Speakers to be expected include women from all spheres – feminists, LGBTQIs, artists, mothers, entrepreneurs, activists, writers, politicians, sportswomen, dancers, healers, futurists, traditionalists, technologists, entertainers, youth, and more. They share learnings and insights, ask difficult questions, and challenge assumptions.

This is a celebration of pioneers who make power moves, those with promise just getting started, and those who show up as allies and advocates. It aims to be a a joyful, thought-provoking celebration of smarts, savvy and diverse dynamism.

This is a special event – TEDxJohannesburg’s first for women since 2013, and all are welcome to gather in celebration of moving forward.

Azania Mosaka – Talk radio host and TV presenter, beauty entrepreneur
Ingrid Lotze – Co-founder of Hers&His, diversity and inclusion advocate
Karabo Moletsane – Illustrator, graphic designer and street artist
Kerryn Krige –  Social enterprise specialist, author
Leanne Manas – TV anchor, broadcast icon
Leeko Makoene – Farmer, entrepreneur, CEO of Made With Rural
Lerato Mogoatlhe – Author, journalist, travel enthusiast
Lexi Monzeglio – Co-founder of Lexi’s Healthy Eatery, advocate for sustainable living
Dr Marlena Kruger –  Tech addiction expert, founder of TechnoLife Wise Foundation
Nneile Nkholise – Tech entrepreneur, founder of 3DIMO
Prof Pumla Gqola – Feminist, Pan-Africanist, academic, author
Tashmia Ismail-Saville – CEO of the Youth Employment Service (YES)
Dr Theo Mothoa-Frendo – Founder of African Dermal Science, makers of skincare for African skin
Yolande Steyn – CEO and founder of FNB eWallet Solutions, head of FNB Innovation
