The Snow Goose is an adaption of Paul Gallico’s classic novella, played out in the desolate Essex marshes and set against the background of the miracle of Dunkirk.
A wounded snow goose brings a young girl, Firth, and the recluse Philip Rhayader together in a moving story of friendship and courage. The story is told with colourful characters in theatre masks, a dramatic soundscape and simple props that propel the audience into the heart of the story.
The production is directed by Jenine Collocott and performed by James Cairns and Taryn Bennett.
“James Cairns proves himself once again to be a master of the character shift, evoking scorn and pity, laughter and tears in equal measure.” – Read Marilu Snyders’ review of the Snow Goose.
