The Nelson Mandela Square Antique Fair takes place on 4 September in Sandton and is the perfect shopping trip for antique lovers.
South Africa’s longest-running monthly antiques and collectibles fair, this event attracts antique dealers from all over the world. Both the National Antiques and Decorative Arts Association (NAADA) and the South African Antique, Art and Design Association (SAADA) are exhibiting on the day.

A CRAFT MARKET, PARADE & MUSIC CONCERT AS WITS TURNS 100
Wits University turns 100 in 2022 and has planned a weekend of celebration around the Braamfontein area from 2 – 4 September. A Wits Parade procession starts at 1.30pm from the Origins Centre before a picnic on the Library Lawns. The day finishes off with a light show by the Piazza. This performance features Jesse Clegg, Sipho Mchunu, and the Johnny Clegg Band paying tribute to Johnny Clegg; Mango Groove; Samthing Soweto; Big Zulu; Khuzani; Holly Rey; Mduduzi Ncube; Lwah Ndlunkulu; the Wits Mass Choir and student bands. A DECADENT HIGH TEA EXPERIENCE EVERY FIRST SATURDAY & SUNDAY
Olives And Plates Wits Club hosts their exclusive High Tea experience on the first Saturday and Sunday of every month.

SEE SCULPTOR ANTON SMIT’S STUNNING WORKS AT THIS PUBLIC EXHIBITION
Nelson Mandela Square, in collaboration with Artyli Gallery, has launched Art Live on the Square with the first exhibition Colossal.
From internationally-acclaimed local sculptor Anton Smit, Colossal features over 20 larger-than-life sculptures and explores South African identity. After this exhibition closes in October, more exhibitions are planned as part of the Art Live on the Square experience.
