An Afternoon of Taiwanese Culture: Explore Authentic Music, Dance and Storytelling

The South African Chapter of the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women is giving Joburgers a rare glimpse into the richness of Taiwanese culture with a live performance event on 20 October 2024. The production features the internationally recognised Formosa Melody Music Center and promises a programme of traditional dance, folk music, and storytelling. The Formosa Melody Music Center selected Johannesburg as the final stop of their European and African tour.

On the afternoon programme is a musical journey through Taiwan’s famous Alishan, inspired by its beautiful mountains and tea culture. Take in a lively Celebration Over the Seven Seas performance that reflects Taiwan’s hardworking spirit. Traditional instruments and dances will be featured, showcasing Taiwan’s heritage in a modern way.
