Amex Tennis Town: Here’s Where You Can Watch the Wimbledon Championships in Johannesburg

If you’re looking for somewhere exciting to watch Wimbledon in Johannesburg, Amex Tennis Town is an exciting new pop-up fan park that opened at Montecasino. The interactive space runs for two weekends only from 5 to 14 July.

Capturing the vibrant atmosphere, games and spirit of The Championships, Wimbledon 2024, this experience for new and seasoned tennis fans, families and fun-seekers. Watch every match on massive screens, tuck into festive food and drink, try your hand at a tennis game or two, and vibe to buzzy DJ beats during breaks.

What’s on at Amex Tennis Town

This fresh new concept reimagines a comprehensive fan zone that takes game live Wimbledon championship screenings to a whole different level. Guests and tennis enthusiasts will love the interactive activation area where you can capture new memories in the photo booths, dive into virtual reality tennis activations, and challenge friends at gaming stations.

The cherry on top? A full-size tennis court is open to all and set up with interactive coaching lessons where you can kickstart your tennis journey, and show off or sharpen your skills. Don’t leave without popping into the Wimbledon merch shop.

DJs will be spinning live sets during breaks for vibey sounds, and when the hunger pangs hit, head to the food and drink bars for a wide range of culinary delights including traditional favourites like strawberries and cream.

Special seating, discounts and perks for American Express Card Members

American Express Card Members joining Amex Tennis Town enjoy a 50% discount on tickets and priority seating at the front of the main viewing screen. Card members also 20% off at the Wimbledon concept store, 10% off on food and beverage ordered at the venue, and other benefits such as branded gift packs.

How to book your space

Tickets must be booked in advance via the link below. American Express Card Members receive a 50% discount on all tickets, while TSA registered members will receive a 30% discount on all tickets. 

The proceeds from general public ticket sales will be directed to Tennis South Africa to support the American Express Tennis Development Programme in developing local communities and nurturing tennis talent.
