THE GROW TEAM GROW PHOTO SAFARI
An amazing race type activity, filled with photos and activities to get the blood pumping sounds like a nice day out, right?
The Photo Safari Challenge is a flexible team building tool which can be tailored to any outdoor venue with plenty of interesting landscapes to discover. The location can be ring fenced, like at a conference venue, or it can be an urban area such as Braamfontein or Sandton CBD. The team is separated into groups and tasked to race around the chosen location where they need to find landmarks, perform tasks and retrieve spot prizes before they move onto the next challenge.
The edge? Every task or clue results in a photo which needs to be taken on one team member’s phone.
The winning team is determined not only by who completes all the tasks fastest but also on the quality and creativity displayed in the photos. These are uploaded immediately to award prizes for both speed and ingenuity. A great advantage of this activity is that it results in lots of awesome photos to be used on the day and in the future. TEAM BUILDING IN A MAZE
The Honeydew Maze offers the perfect combination of camaraderie, outdoor fun and friendly competition that makes it the perfect team building event!
Teams need to use every last bit of their collective mental agility to complete various challenges ranging from a giant maze to smaller but sneaky logic puzzles. There are two options to choose from:
- The 4 hour maze event splits the group into teams of 4 people. The teams set out to solve the Giant maze which has a 15 station quiz trail and takes about 90 minutes to complete. At the end teams hand in their answer sheets and prizes are awarded.
- The 6 hour maze event has three mazes to complete. The Invisible Maze forces teammates to learn from others and develop a mental map to solve the maze. Then there’s the Blindfold Maze in which teams with various limitations need to work together – a fun variation of the ‘See No Evil, Speak No Evil, Hear No Evil’ classic. To finish it off, teams are then sent into the Giant Maze (as above).
Lunch can be arranged after the maze activities, and there are smaller logic puzzles and mazes around the courtyard should team members still want to have some fun.
