Chocoholics and wine enthusiasts unite: here’s a new monthly wine and chocolate experience! The Chocolate Tier has teamed up with The Catalyst Hotel in Sandton to present a unique day of indulgence, fun and learning, with chocolate and wine at the heart.
What is included in the experience?
The Chocolate Tier journey begins with a fascinating talk on the history of chocolate hosted by Kate Waller, with tastings along the way, of course. Guests will be able to sample everything from raw cacao to scrumptious African-origin chocolates, experiencing the full spectrum of ‘oh my ganache!’.
An acclaimed Cape Wine Master will then join Kate to lead the groups through a tasting of five different South African boutique wines. Sip, swirl, and savour (no spitting), while discovering the secrets behind the incredible farms and winemakers. Each wine is expertly paired with a crafted chocolate truffle.
Guests are then invited to enjoy a complimentary light luncheon at Kashew Restaurant. Respected Chef Nelda whips up superb dishes using the freshest ingredients of the day.
Those who are somehow still hungry or perhaps want to take something home for a loved one can browse the tantalising cheeseboards and desserts on the menu (for guests’ own account). Or buy a Chocolate Tier box for a special occasion!
