Dance Club SA is a monthly pop-up in Johannesburg designed for women who want to move, unwind and enjoy a night out on their own terms. Held on the last Tuesday of each month at The Naked Woolf in Rosebank, the concept is simple: just women, just dancing, and wrapped up by 9pm.
It’s an easy, no-pressure space that blends nostalgia with freedom, where the focus is less on being seen and more on letting go. Whether you come solo or with friends, it’s about carving out time to switch off:

What to expect at Dance Club SA, Johannesburg’s nightlife experience for women
Dance Club SA centres on creating a safe, welcoming environment where women can enjoy music and movement without the usual expectations that come with nightlife. The format is intentionally straightforward. Two female DJs spin crowd-favourite tracks from the 70s through to the early 2000s, keeping the energy high but familiar. The early finish makes it ideal for a midweek reset, offering all the fun of a night out without the late-night drag.
There’s no strict dress code, which adds to the ease of the experience. Guests are encouraged to wear whatever feels right, from sequins to loungewear, leaning into comfort and self-expression. Hosted at Naked Woolf in Rosebank, the venue offers a central, accessible setting with food and drinks available to order throughout the evening.
