Joburg’s hottest decor and design showcase, Decorex Joburg, is back at the Sandton Convention Centre from 30 July to 2 August 2026. This event in Johannesburg is running alongside 100% Design Africa, the definitive showcase of all things contemporary design on the African continent. Joburgers will be able to take in both shows, plus daily live talks and demonstrations, and lots more.

Decorex 2026 is themed around living more gently
Under the theme Soft Life, both Cape Town and Joburg Decorex editions invite visitors into spaces where comfort, contemporary design and intentional living take centre stage. The theme places a lens on comfort, material intelligence, craft, and objects made for longevity. A quieter kind of innovation rooted in daily life, and in the way we want our homes to support us now.
Expect pioneering new works from the 2026 Designers of the Year, and hundreds of unique African brands bringing the best of contemporary craftsmanship to South Africa.

Decorex Joburg will once again run alongside 100% Design Africa, highlighting standout local furniture, lighting and design pieces. Africa’s leading international design showcase is where the continent’s finest creatives step into the global spotlight. This dynamic event brings together top names in interior design, offering a carefully curated mix of contemporary African work – from cutting-edge furniture and product design to innovation in technology and art.
At its core is a ‘phygital’ concept – a clever blend of physical exhibitions and digital storytelling. It expands the audience, enhances engagement, and provides fresh, immersive ways to connect with African design.
The Future Talks series returns to spotlight Joburg creatives
Meet and listen to all the visionary voices shaping the world of design, retail, craft and creativity. The Decorex Joburg’s Future Talks programme features CPD-accredited and all-new speakers and talks.
You’ll find the talks stage as part of 100% Design Africa, and all talks for each day are included in the price of an entry ticket for that day. The full talks schedule will be available on the free-to-download Decorex app for Apple and Android.
All the essentials to revamp your home or apartment
Spanning five vibrant levels at Sandton Convention Centre, Decorex Joburg offers a carefully curated showcase of world-leading brands, breakthrough designers and exciting new product launches.
On level -2, the Renovate and Build Hall is a one-stop destination for your next project, featuring flooring, doors, wall finishes and paints. Level 0 is home to the Kitchens and Bathrooms Hall, with state-of-the-art appliances, stylish fittings, luxurious bathware and crafted countertops.
The Décor Hall on level 5 offers bold brand collaborations, exclusive launches and cutting-edge interiors—pointing to the future of design with innovation and flair.
How to book tickets
Trade industry guests can attend for free by pre-registering online. Trade visitors will enjoy multi-day access, VIP Lounge perks, all show content, and CPD workshops.
Trade visitors who do not register ahead will have to pay a R170 entry fee at the door. They can also opt for a R550 VIP Trade Experience, which includes exclusive perks such as access to the VIP lounge with snacks and refreshments, Lexus VIP concierge service, and priority updates and access to networking events and workshops, as well as access to the exclusive State of the Industry Report included within a year membership to the Decorex Academy with access to online CPD accredited talks.
