ImproGuise, Cape Town’s oldest improv troupe has been sharing its special brand of magical, made up stuff with audiences for almost thirty years, and this mini festival presents another opportunity for audiences to see three totally different styles of improv on each of the nights.
First up, is Tri Notions, where veteran improvisers Megan Choritz, Tandi Buchan, and Brett Anderson take to the stage with nothing more than a few audience suggestions.
On the second day the team gets slightly bigger, with Dave Campbell-Watts joining Brett, Tandi and Megan, and the games get wilder. Game On! Is a showcase of some of the audience’s favourite games. It’s fast, wild, funny.
Fake Place happens on the final day. This is one of Improguise’s most popular long form formats. Ryan Jales and Bridget McCarthy join Dave, Brett, Tandi and Megan, and create a whole little town, with all its kooks and crazies, and the audience peek through a window to witness everything the townsfolk get up to.
