Acrobranch Melrose, located in James and Ethel Gray Park, is the first Acrobranch park established in South Africa. The treetop courses feature zip lines, bridges, Tarzan swings, and other aerial obstacles that take participants from tree to tree. The activity offers a mix of outdoor recreation and light physical challenge, suitable for both children and adults.
Four obstacle routes cater to different ages and abilities, ranging from the Acro-Twigs course for children aged three to six to the advanced High Flying course with obstacles reaching up to ten metres high. Intermediate options such as the Monkey Moves and Swinging Tarzan courses include zip lines, balance bridges, and climbing elements designed to develop coordination and confidence. Instructors provide safety briefings, equipment, and supervision throughout each session.
Visitors can bring their own food or arrange catering through the on-site vendor, Food For All, which provides platters and daily meals by pre-order. Braais are permitted for those bringing their own equipment. Tables and shaded areas can be booked for group events, making the park a convenient setting for family outings, school groups, and team-building occasions.
