After introduction and basic instruction (20-30 minutes), the instructor and guide sets off with the participants into the wine farm (Lourensford) or indigenous forest (Plettenberg Bay) with their bow and arrows slung on their backs, to experience a 'real life' Archery Trail. This consists of a 1.5 to 2 hour walk during which static and moving targets can be shot at. NB All targets are manmade. Archery Adventures does not condone the shooting of live animals.
Another option is Target Archery which takes 45 Minutes.
For this, each target is marked with a circle surrounded by several rings. Archers earn a set number of points for hitting the various areas on the target with their arrows. They earn the most points for hitting the circle in the center and the least points for hitting the outer ring.
An archer shoots 3 arrows per end. After each end, the competitors walk to the target to score and retrieve their arrows.
Archery Adventures is great for birthday parties, company outings, team building, year end functions or bachelor/ette parties. Minimum age 8 years. No experience needed.
