Their Atlantic Surf school has a wide offering from holiday clubs, team building and surf parties to surf and SUP lessons, offering specific lessons for kids, women and groups. Each lesson is adapted to the surfing level of the individual or the group.
For surf lessons, their beginner lessons focus on understanding the basics to catch the first wave. The technique, timing and attitude used when learning something new are all covered. For intermediate and more advanced learners, more of a focus is placed on catching waves through an in-depth understanding of waves. This is taught by breaking down timing and positioning in the line up to help improve the quality and quantity of waves caught.
With SUP lessons, for beginners, an emphasis is placed on understanding the basics of standing and handling a SUP board. Lessons cover balance, paddling and controlling the direction of a SUP journey. For those with more experience, attention is shifted to a focus on the more technical and niche aspects that are to be taken into account when going out to SUP. Lessons include turning the SUP board, different stroke techniques and learning to start catching waves.
Both surfing and SUP lessons range between 1.5 and 2 hours. Lessons are ocean and weather permitting.
Aside from their different surf and SUP lessons, Atlantic Surf also offer a variety of boards, wetsuits and surf equipment for rental. They offer short and long term rentals, for the customers’ own convenience.
