After their record-breaking performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Bafana Bafana have their first 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match against the West African country, Guinea.

Taking place at Orlando Stadium, the match will be the first match under new coach Pitso Mosimane since taking over from Belgian Hugo Broos in September 2026. Following the opening AFCON game against Guinea, Bafana Bafana faces Eritrea in Cairo, Egypt, in a second group match on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
