The Basha Uhuru Freedom Festival is one of Joburg's most anticipated annual youth arts festival, highlighting young people's role and participation in creative and social movements.
The festival features performances by various musicians, spanning genres such as jazz, hip-hop, electronic music, and more. This year’s line up will include acclaimed Amapiano vocalist Zee Nxumalo, "Easy to Love" singer Bucie, SAMA-award winner DJ Cleo, HitBoss SA, Lia Butler, Atoms Blaq x Maline Aura, Lochive and more.
Party goers can also look forward to a guest performance from this year’s Basha Uhuru Music Legacy Award winner – none other than South African hip hop legends, Skwatta Camp.
As always Basha Uhuru is committed to providing platforms for up-and-coming artists and new talent along with local mega stars. The music festival opens at 10am, and festival goers can enjoy a full day at the Curated Market with live music and performances, activations, food stalls and bars.
