The Cape's French outpost gears up for a weekend extravaganza of gastronomic delights, wines and all things French heritage. Renowned for its culinary prowess and world-class wines, the Franschhoek Wine Valley invites attendees to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of French culture during the annual Bastille commemoration.
Whether it is indulging in the abundant wine tastings within the iconic Bastille marquee- boasting festivities aplenty, with local fare food stalls and live entertainment, or exploring the lively streets and enjoying the festive atmosphere of the village, there's something on offer for everyone to enjoy.
This year's event also introduces a venue change to enhance the guests' comfort. Come rain or shine, the festival is equipped to host attendees in style on the Franschhoek High School rugby field featuring the marquee as the focal point.
Attendees are urged to don the finest French attire of blue, white and red - with or without the practical addition of gumboots!
