Big Backyard Ultra comes to South Africa in a national series format that takes participants to 5 locations around the country, each with varying terrain and unique challenges.
Participants are required to consecutively run a distance of 6,706 meters (4.167 miles) in less than one hour. The participant who run the most laps wins.
Situated 42km from the heart of Port Elizabeth, 3 Rivers Trails offer a huge variety of Mountain biking and Trail running routes across 15 neighbouring farm properties. One of the largest trail networks in South Africa, it offers +/- 200km trails, 65km of singletrack and 3 rivers.
Entry fee includes finish line beer, hot showers, camping facilities, full medical support, marked and prepared route, conservation fee, race shirt and medal, athlete bag and nutrition.
