Brainchild of visual artist and gallerist, Banele Khoza, BKhz can be found in Rosebank, Johannesburg. Khoza initially established BKhz as a personal space where he could create and display his work in 2016.
Since then it has grown into a gallery that facilitates access into the art industry through exhibitions, gallery activations and a series of masterclasses.
The gallery space functions as a platform for emerging and established artists, curators and art practitioners. It is run by a team of art practitioners who are dedicated to activating the space through the curation of exhibitions as well as informative public programming. Through this exercise, the BKhz team hopes to promote a critical engagement within the arts and to contribute towards the development of a vibrant and sustainable art industry in South Africa.
