Badgers FC presents BOOTS & BEATS, the very first instalment of the Cape Town based female-powered club’s venture into off-the-field entertainment. It promises to be a night to indulge in music, raffles, foosball, food and drinks on offer. Friends, family and football fans alike are welcome to join in on the fun.
Featured entertainment acts include the enchantingly cool Annika, the foot-stomping band Murray, and the electrifying fusion artist Tim Welsh. Annika is a defender on the football pitch who uses all her free time crafting Neo-Soul and R&B vocal covers of artists including Amy Winehouse, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Steve Lacy. Murray are a group of five red beanie-wearing musicians set to provide strong grooves and indie-rock anthems. Finally, Tim Welsh is a saxophonist ready to provide incredible electronic fusions. With this lineup, guests are in for a night of diverse music stylings and great fun.
All ticket sales go straight to the club’s operational costs that help 144 girls and women from Cape Town and surrounds with professional coaching, safe transport to games and back, access to education and of course the all-round life skills to be ferociously awesome human beings.
