Cape Town’s Choral Music Safari takes South Africa’s rich choral traditions and unique harmonies away from the stage and instead creates intimate home concerts. The musical tour offered by Coffeebeans Routes not only includes music choir trios and duos from Cape Town, but local Cape cuisine and a nightcap in the homes of one of the performing musicians.
Some of the group harmonies dinner guests can expect to hear belong to Treasured Voices, the Mfuleni blind gospel trio, the Beystars Cape Malay Choir from Mitchells Plain, and the Gugulethu Gospel Stars.
Tours must be booked in advance, as groups sizes are limited to 12 people. The tour is divided into two: dinner and an intimate home concert, and a nightcap in the second choir’s home. The dinner session lasts 90 minutes, and the nightcap ends at 11pm, lasting 60 minutes.
All dietary needs are catered for. Tours can be booked on the Coffeebeans Routes website or on Viator.
