20 different dance training institutions, including Cape Town’s tertiary performing arts training institutions, come together to present a performance piece to celebrate the joy of dance to raise funds for the Cape Town City Ballet.
Over 300 young dancers-in-training and full time students aged 5 – 25, will present 20 different pieces of choreography, ranging from classical ballet, to jazz, musical theatre, and African contemporary. These young dancers come together to honour the Cape Town City Ballet’s past, its present, and to dance into its future, with the joy this company has given to so many audiences for so many years.
Guest performers include dancers from the Cape Town City Ballet as well as students from Cape Town’s tertiary training institutions. Presented with love from each performer, funds raised will go directly to the Cape Town City Ballet to contribute to its sustainability.
