Casa Labia is a restaurant offering picnics, high teas and dinner & music evenings on Fridays.
Built in 1929 to reflect the spirit of 18th century Venice, Casa Labia is the former Muizenberg residence of Count and Countess Natale Labia. Following a complete two-year restoration by the family, it was opened to the public on 5 May 2010 as a multi-functional cultural centre. In September 2020 management of Casa Labia Cultural Centre was taken over by Cape Town based company Ideas Cartel. The Centre now comprises a members club, co-working facilities and a public hosting restaurant. They also have two suites available for overnight accommodation.
The Restaurant offers simple Italian style food, excellent wines, coffee and home made cakes and pastries. Picnics and High Teas can be prebooked and enjoyed with views over Surfer's Corner, Muizenberg. Dinner and Music evenings are hosted from 6pm on Friday evenings and The Venue at Casa Labia can be booked for weddings, private events, dinners, conferences, cocktail parties and film or stills shoots.
