CityROCK is a climbing gym, which caters to climbers of all levels, from first-time kids to experienced outdoor climbers.
Their climbing facilities include a large bouldering area (bouldering is climbing 3m - 4m high without a rope) and up to 15m high walls for roped climbing. For all top rope climbing they only use the Grigri belay device and for belayed climbing, all climbers and belayers must pass a compulsory top rope belay test.
CityROCK also has a children's zone where kids have fun and use this activity to develop fine muscle control, gain a sense of achievement and body awareness and for those who take it more seriously, to develop the correct climbing skills.
The facility also offers birthday celebration bookings, courses and kids belay tags.
CityROCK also has a coffee shop area on the premises.
Bookings are required for introductory courses, as well as for climbing during peak weekday evenings. For kids under 13, day passes must be booked for weekends, public holidays and school holidays. Everyone entering CityROCK needs to complete a waiver, regardless of whether they are climbing or simply observing.
