The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra's Spring Symphonies at the City Hall will take place on Thursdays in September. For the third concert, Martin Panteleev, principal guest conductor of the Wurth Symphony Orchestra, is back with one of his favourite orchestras.
Panteleev will conduct De Falla "The Three Cornered Hat, Suite No. 2", Rodrigo "Concierto de Aranjuez" and Tchaikovsky "Symphony No. 4 in F minor, Op. 36". Spanish guitarist Alvaro Toscana, a specialist in modern music, will give his interpretation of the Concierto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo.
Secure parking on the Grand Parade is provided and additional security with dogs keep a watch out. It's business as usual with a bar and printed programmes but please note only Snapscan or credit cards can be used since no cash is allowed at the City Hall.
