The second of four Spring Symphony concerts by the CPO is conducted by Daniel Raiskin, who appears regularly around the world.
In this edition, Raiskin conducts Beethoven "Prometheus Overture", Wieniawski "Violin Concerto No.1 in F sharp minor, Op.14" and Shostakovich "Symphony No.6 in B minor, Op.54"
The soloist for this concert is German violinist Tassilo Probst, who will be playing the Wieniawki piece. Probst is a renowned violinist who made his concerto debut at the age of 14.
